I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Spanish Education and a minor in teaching English as a Second Language. I spent 6 months abroad in Granada, Spain and lived with a host family. I received my Master’s Degree in Spanish through California State Sacramento’s travel study program, studying for 6 weeks in Peru, 6 weeks in Spain, and 6 weeks in Guatemala. I completed a Master’s Degree in School Counseling in 2017 through Northeastern Illinois University. I began my Spanish teaching career in 2009 at Palatine High School. This year I teach levels 2 and 3. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Jack. Jack and I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, trying new restaurants, and working on our new(ish) home.
