PHS School Report Card

Background:

School Report Cards were developed by the State of Illinois to provide information about academic performance and characteristics of students, faculty, instructional resources, and finances at the school, district, and State level.  Report Cards are prepared by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) based on data received from and about schools at various points throughout the school year.  According to Illinois School Code, School Report Cards are to be forwarded to the schools from the ISBE and made available by the schools to their publics by October 31 each year.  No information on the Report Card can be modified.  The only supplementary information that can be added to the Report Card as delivered by the ISBE is a statement of school improvement, which is placed on the back page of the multi-page document.

Promise Scholarship at Harper College

An ambitious new initiative will provide public high school students in the Northwest suburbs with two years of free tuition at Harper College – if they’re willing to earn it. The Harper College Promise Scholarship program was formally announced at a kickoff event Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Wojcik Conference Center on the main campus in Palatine.

Harper College developed the Promise Scholarship in partnership with area public high schools and Northwest suburban business leaders with the goal of removing financial barriers for hardworking students while fostering the responsibility and life skills that will help them succeed in school, on the job, and beyond.
