As a graduate of Palatine HS I'm so excited to be a Pirate once again! I fell in love with Spanish when I was a student at PHS (¡gracias a Señora Zaremba!), and have had great experiences ever since! I graduated from Illinois State University, where I also had the opportunity to travel to Granada, Spain and study there for a semester! Being immersed in the culture and language was one of the best experiences I've had, and I strongly encourage any language learner to travel to a Spanish-speaking country (or whatever language you are learning!). I am currently studying ESL, and working on getting my masters at Central Connecticut State University in which the program allows me to fulfill my love for traveling yet again and study in Salamanca, Spain.

Along with my love for teaching and Spanish, I have many other passions. I love soccer! Having played since I was little, I always try to find pick-up games or juggle outside to stay connected with the sport (or watch the best team in the world dominate--USWNT)! My first year of teaching at Mundelein HS I had the opportunity to be the assistant coach for girls varsity soccer. It was a great experience, and I hope to be able to continue that passion here at PHS! I also was involved with Spanish Club, and am always looking for more opportunities to connect with students.

Outside of school some of my favorite hobbies include: snowboarding, hiking, traveling, listening to music, going to concerts, eating, hanging out with friends, and boating! I also love sports, especially football so during the fall catch me sporting my green and gold PACKERS jerseys! Although I am a Packers fan, I do love my city and will cheer on the Blackhawks, Cubs and Bulls with everyone else! If you want to engage in an animated conversation with me, mention my adorable Frenchie & Shihtzu doggies, I will be sure to show you an abundance of pictures and videos.
